Document exchange for all parties involved | TradeLink Help Center

This article explains how document exchange is mapped via TradeLink and what benefits this brings for all parties involved.

Is there a delivery bill for the goods? Which goods will be delivered with the next shipment? Where is the signed delivery bill for the truck driver? Where did I upload the pictures of the damaged delivery again? These are questions we are often asked by customers before they start storing all documents and relevant information from the logistics process on TradeLink and sharing them with all partners involved.

1. Document upload and exchange via TradeLink

TradeLink offers the function to upload and save all documents and photos directly to your booking. There is no limitation regarding the format. (Signed) delivery notes (e.g. in PDF), pallet notes , as well as photos (e.g. documented load securing, damaged goods) can be uploaded. The comment field can also be used to provide additional information, such as a description of a case of damaged goods.

The uploaded documents can be viewed by all parties involved in the booking (e.g. supplier, forwarder, recipient).

2. Collaborative logistics for all parties

Transparency and satisfaction across all parties is increased, as they all have access to the shared documents, making logistics more collaborative.

3. Advantages

  • Delivery notes can be viewed in advance

No more time-consuming follow-up phone calls/e-mails. All required information is already available when a booking is announced. You can concentrate on the important tasks.

  • Exchange signed documents digitally

No more waiting for signed documents to be returned by the driver. This increases the acceptance of your partners and especially of the forwarders enormously because added value is created for all.

  • Less emails and phone calls

By having their own access, your customers and also their purchasing department can obtain information themselves at any time, which means that communication channels become much shorter.

  • Strong partnerships

Through better exchange, transparency and collaboration with your customers, you can strengthen your partnership in the long run.
